These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aussie Citizenship Test mobile application (the "App"), operated by Paper Rocket Studios ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About the App

The App is an independent, third-party study tool designed to help users prepare for the Australian citizenship test. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Government, the Department of Home Affairs, or any government agency.

The content in the App is provided for educational and practice purposes only. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that the questions, answers, or study materials in the App reflect the exact content of the official citizenship test.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

3. No Guarantee of Test Results

The App is a study aid only. We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees that using the App will result in passing the Australian citizenship test. Your test outcome depends on your own preparation and the official test administered by the Department of Home Affairs.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free features: The App offers certain features at no cost. These free features may change over time at our discretion.

Premium subscriptions: Additional features are available through paid subscription plans. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed through the platform where you downloaded the App (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). All payments are processed by the respective platform, not by us directly.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (e.g. weekly, monthly, or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Price changes: Subscription prices may change from time to time. Any price changes will be communicated through the App or the respective app store. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Free trials: If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.

For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google directly through their respective support channels, as they process all payments.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, icons, images, software, and design elements, is the property of Paper Rocket Studios or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Portions of the content within this App are sourced from the publication "Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond", © Commonwealth of Australia, and are used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). No changes have been made to the meaning of the original content; formatting and presentation have been adapted for mobile use. All rights in Commonwealth materials remain with the Commonwealth of Australia.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the App without our prior written consent.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Circumvent or interfere with any security or access control features
Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its content

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
The content will be accurate, complete, or current at all times
Defects will be corrected in any particular timeframe

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), Paper Rocket Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in subscription fees in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Paper Rocket Studios and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Paper Rocket Studios regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
